Chernoshima

The title is derived from Chernobyl (Ukraine) and Fukushima Daiichi (Japan), the only two locations thus far where a Level 7 (out of 7 on the International Nuclear and Radiological Event Scale) nuclear 'accident' has occurred - in 1986 and 2011 respectively. The images, none of which have been colour-corrected, were captured via the nine lenses of Google Earth during long and haunting virtual travels through each no-go zone.
